2025: A Year in Review

A lot of changes have been made this past year and a lot of new features have been added. Here is a list of the things we did this year.

Most recently, we added an online store to the website. We are selling art created by our artists in the form of hand painted clothes/accessories, ceramics, prints and other painted media. We are also selling Radiant Energy merch – clothing, accessories, totes, mugs stickers and more!

We celebrated 3 anniversaries this year. The shop celebrated its 10th year of being a woman owned business in Brick. Caroline celebrated her 27th year as a certified tattoo artist and Casey celebrated her 1st anniversary.

We made more donations this year than ever before.  We donated to Pittie Project, Rescue Pawloosa, Rainbow Railroad, My Body My Choice, Fulfill NJ, and CureBreastCancerFoundation.org.

We started 3 recurring promotions this year. Buy In Brick helps Brick residents save money on their property taxes. Refer a Friend rewards you for being loyal to us and welcomes your friend with a gift certificate. Friday the 13th rewards you for participating in our fun holiday events.

This year we went to places other than conventions. Some of our artists submitted art to the Ocean County Artist’s Guild Tattoo Art Exhibition in Oct. We attended the Brick Twp Trunk or Treat and the Lakewood Renaissance Faire. Our female artists flew to FL to take part in the Marked For Life reunion celebrating the all-female conventions created by Deana Lippins.

Other fun stuff we participated in is the Game of Shrooms where people leave ceramic mushrooms hidden throughout the community in the hope that other Shroom hunters will find them.  We had a Pumpkin Painting/tattooing event at the shop giving our clients and friends a chance to be on the other side of the tattoo machine.  Sadly, we stopped playing the Dice Roll Game, but will continue to contemplate how to work that back into the shop’s extra-curricular activities.

We commented on a news article regarding the unfortunate death of Influencer Ricardo Godoi who experienced cardiac arrest while under anesthesia. Radiant Energy and the Association of Professional Tattooists believe that the safety of tattoo clients is of the utmost importance. Anesthesia is too risky to combine with tattooing because pain is an indicator of the body’s stress limit.

We also blogged about famous tattoo artists during black history month and women’s history month to highlight these amazing people and their influences on the tattoo industry.

I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings!
