Flash Day is a throwback to the old days of tattoo shops when you would walk in, pick an image off the wall, and have it tattooed. We create new flash images every month and sell them at a discounted rate for one day only.

Yes and no.
YES - On Flash Day these new images are sold at a discounted rate for 1 day only and are only tattooed on arms and legs.
YES - they are not custom and already drawn up so there is less initial work involved for the artist.
NO - The actual tattooing process is the same whether the tattoo is pre drawn flash or custom. Any savings comes from the work the artists does before the tattoo appointment.
NO - The size, body placement and modifications to the image will cause the price to vary.

Yes! These tattoos will be available after flash day, but they will be listed at regular price. However, when paying full price, you are not restricted to arms and legs.

This event happens on every Friday the 13th during the year. Past and present Friday the 13th flash may be available depending on pricing. In addition to an awesome tattoo, you will receive 13 gift certificates for future tattoos for you and your friends. This event doesn’t happen often, so plan ahead.

In 2022, Krista Reid, a tattoo artist at Oak & Iron in Buffalo, NY, organized this event in response to the overturn of Roe v Wade. This is a nationwide flash event to raise money for National Network of Abortion Funds and other organizations we care about.
This event is usually held on the last Saturday in July. All past and present flash is available each year and they are available year round. On the day of the event, 100% of proceeds gets donated, while 50% of the proceeds from these tattoos gets donated the rest of the year.
Body autonomy goes beyond our reproductive rights. It’s the right to consent. The right to choose. The right to be yourself. MBMC has raised over half a million dollars with all of your help and we want to continue adding to that donation, continue making noise, and continue fighting for our rights!
